Sonoran Institute

Sonoran Institute is an Arizona-based nonprofit working to protect the environments, economies and communities of the Western United States through programs and initiatives to get the community involved in what happens in their area.

Creative Process

I take complicated data and turn it into a digestible format that is distributed to community partners and stakeholders to identify metrics that can be used to track the integration of water and land use planning as well as the impact of those efforts.

Icon

I created an icon that incorporated mountains and rivers to indicate the chapter openings for the Water-Land Use Guidebook. It was decided that the icon looked too much like an official logo for the programs being discussed so it was dropped in the final version of the document. I’m pleased how the icon looks and want to use it someday on another project.

Carree is an excellent designer. She is flexible with our timelines, works independently, and always exceeds expectations.
